Company Overview

In January 2012, Fire Solutions Limited was formed as a Limited Liability Company to operate in the field of Fixed Fire Systems Engineering, Installation and Maintenance. The company was registered by the Companies Office of NZ registration number 2382896.

Fire Solutions are based in Hobsonville Auckland. This head office consists of a full in house design team and pipe fabrication facility, together with contract management and accounting teams.

In addition to the above office a project office is located in Wigram Christchurch to manage those projects in the South Island, with this office being consisting of projects managers and field supervisors.

Managing Director responsible for the overall operation of the business.

1991 to 2006 Managing Director Total Fire Protection Limited
As sole director and shareholder of Total Fire Protection the company grew over a 15 year period from a newly founded Fire Protection Contractor to a major industry player, employing in excess of 65 staff with turnover exceeding $11m per annum.

During this period, Chris as the Managing Director, was responsible for tendering, negotiating and overseeing with assistance from others some very significant contracts. Projects of interest that the company successfully tendered, engineered and completed during his time as Managing Director were:

  • Britomart Underground Train Station
  • Auckland CPO Refurbishment
  • Vector CBD Tunnel Project
  • Johnston’s Hill Road Tunnel
  • Bayfair Shopping Centre Upgrade and Extension
  • Whenaupai RNZAF Air Base Helicopter Hanger
  • Ohakea Air Base Fire Fighting Water Supplies
  • Auckland International Airport Extensions and Upgrades
  • Various Fonterra Powder Tower Projects

 

1977 to 1991 Wormald Group of Companies
Following a three year training period with Wormald Chris advanced through the company, fulfilling many senior roles, including Project Manager for The Marsden Point Oil Refinery Expansion, NZ Steel Expansion project, and several Branch Managers positions.

Engineering Managing, 18 Years Industry Experience

2010 to present Engineering Manager Fire Solutions Limited
Engineering Manager responsible for the engineering of Fire Systems within the business.

1992 to 2010 Engineering Manager Total Fire Protection Limited
Following a three year training period Dan was promoted to Engineering Manager responsible for a design team which designed, engineered, co-ordinated, and oversaw the certification of Fixed Fire Systems. In addition to the Engineering managers role Dan also implemented and managed the companies certified ISO 9000 QA system.

Projects of interest that Dan was directly responsible for were:

  • Bayfair Shopping Centre

Construction Manager, 9 Years Industry Experience

2013 to present Construction Manager Fire Solutions Limited
Construction Manager responsible for the installation and administration of Fire Systems within the business.

2007 to 2010 Construction Manager Triangle Fire Protection
Construction Manager for Triangle Fire Protection responsible for the day to day running of the Contracting Division.
